William W. VanArsdale, 52, of New Egypt, passed away Monday, November 30, 2009 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Lakewood, he was raised in Jackson and later moved to New Egypt where he resided for 30 years. William was employed as a Safari Warden for Six Flags, Great Adventure and was a member of the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company # 1 in Jackson. He was an avid car enthusiast and home mechanic and was a loving husband and father.
Son of the late David, Sr. and Louise VanArsdale; he is survived by his wife Cheryl of 28 years; his daughter and son-in-law, Charyl and Robert Stump of Wrightstown; his siblings, Elizabeth and Anthony Sobreiro, David VanArsdale, Jr., Jeanne and Alvin Zapata, Joy Thompson all of Jackson, Mabel VanArsdale and Tom Frady of Whiting and Harold and Pam VanArsdale of Lakehurst; two brothers-in-law, William and his wife Kathryn Fennimore of California, MD and Brian Fennimore of New Egypt as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 11am on Saturday, December 5th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Cream Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cassville Volunteer Fire Company, 785 Miller Avenue, Jackson, New Jersey 08527 or to the American Cancer Society, 1035 Hooper Ave, Toms River, NJ 08753.
