William J. Van Liew, Sr., 77, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday January 16th at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Born in Jamesburg, he was a resident of North Brunswick for 48 years before moving to Allentown five years ago. A graduate of Jamesburg High School, Mr. Van Liew earned his Bachelors degree from Rider University. He was associated with Van Liew Motors; a family owned business in Jamesburg and retired from Dayton Ford. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Hightstown.
Son of the late William C. and Mary A. Van Liew (nee Ruhl) and brother of the late James Van Liew, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Corena Van Liew (nee Underhill); his son, William J. Van Liew, Jr. and his wife Patricia Fettig of West Rutland, VT and two grandsons, Morgan and Tyler Van Liew.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday 11am at the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown on Stockton St. Interment will be private. Friends may call Monday 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
