William Samu, age 95, of Hamilton Twp. passed away peacefully in his sleep, to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus on Christmas day. Born in Trenton, he was a lifetime resident and farmer of Hamilton Twp. Mr. Samu was a member of Crosswicks United Methodist Church, the New Jersey Farm Bureau, the New Jersey Agricultural Society, the Woodman of the World and AARP. He loved all kinds of animals and wildlife. Mr. Samu loved the farm and enjoyed many years of working the soil with his now deceased brother.
Predeceased by his mother Susan Kovach Samu who passed away in 1917, his father and step-mother, Andrew and Elizabeth Samu and his brother Ernest Samu, he is survived by his daughter, Jean with whom he lived with and who was his faithful care-giver. He is also survived by several cousins and their families as well as his precious pets, Bushy, Spotty and Baby.
Funeral service will be private, at the convenience of the family. Mr. Samu's wishes were to have memorial contributions made to the Crosswicks United Methodist Church PO Box 303 Crosswicks, NJ 08515, please no flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
