William R. Ryan, Jr., age 71, died Wednesday evening with his daughters by his side. Born in Bordentown, he was a life-long resident of the area. He was a graduate of Trenton Catholic Boys H.S. in 1953. He retired from PSE&G in 1996 after 39 years. William was a member of I.B.E.W Local #94. He served as Military Police in the US Army from 1959-1962 in Ft. Benning, Georgia and Seoul, South Korea. He was a member of the American Legion Post #26, the Yapewi Aquatic Club, and the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085 as a life member.
Son of the late William R. Ryan Sr. and Madeline A. (Maron) Ryan; brother of the late Madeline A. Targonski; he is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen A. and Lance E. Mount of Fieldsboro, Mary E. and William. L. Yost, III of Palmyra, Patricia A. and David M. Hutman of Bordentown; three Grandsons and two Granddaughters; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary E. (Betty) and Raymond Haas of Charlottesville, VA; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard H. and Diane Ryan of Bordentown, Robert J. and Patricia Ryan of Bordentown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Monday, 10 am, at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bordentown. Friends may call Sunday, from 4 to 6 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hope Hose Humane Ambulance Squad, 150 W.
