It is with great sadness that we announce that William Richard Phillips Jr., known as Bill or Billy to his loved ones, passed away on December 24th, 2021. His death was a result of Covid-19 related pneumonia. He was 59 years old.

Bill is survived by his son, Brandon Phillips, his daughter, Lindsay Phillips-Schlafer (spouse Scott Schlafer), his mother Nancy Raich, his siblings Scott Phillips and Mindy Hammond, and a loving fiancé, Tina Kromer.

To know Bill was to love him. He was charismatic, full of life, and enjoyed nothing more than a cigar at the race track or by the beach. For many years, he was a devoted father, raising both of his kids alongside Tammy Phillips and attending every Friday night football game and ballet recital in East Berlin, PA. Later in life, Bill could finally go back to his racing roots and was able to spend most of his time and energy with his HHP race team who was like a family to him. These days, when he wasn't at the race track on the weekends, he was enjoying his downtime in a newly-renovated oasis on the beach with Tina and their dog Dakota. Bill's other family was everyone he knew and worked with over the years at Lantier Construction.

At this time, a celebration of life is scheduled for a later date in the Spring. The exact date is to be determined.
