On Monday, February 23, 2026, William Edward Peters Jr, 67, of Pemberton, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. Born in Georgetown, Kentucky, he was a loving, oldest brother of four siblings. At a young age, he confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church in Georgetown, Kentucky. William grew up to be a studious man, an avid reader, and knew the importance of love and family. William joined the United States Air Force after earning his Associate’s Degree. During his service, while stationed in South Korea, William met the love of his life, Kyong Son Pak (Peters). Together, William and Kyong had two amazing sons, William E. Peters III and Richard D. Peters, and traveled the world creating wonderful memories. He also collected little trinkets to remember each deployment. William remained in the United States Air Force until he retired in 1994 as an E6 Tech Sergeant. After his military career, he went to work in the private sector as a Technical Communications Specialist for Anuvu in Holmdel, NJ, until his retirement in 2025. William loved everything electronic, enjoyed science fiction, reading Tom Clancy books, and watching documentaries. In life, William gained two daughter-in-laws and two grandsons, Bishop and Remy Peters, whom he loved very much. William had a very loyal companion, Chunhi, who was his soul dog.
Son of the late William E. Peters and JP Peters Sr, he is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kyong Son Peters, his sons, William and his fiancée, Zaida Claudio, Richard and his wife, Kimber, and two lovely grandsons, Bishop and Remy. He is also survived by his siblings, Glenda Nadine Peters, Gerald K. Peters, and James P. Peters II. He remains loved by his many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
