William H. Patterson, Jr., 82, of Allentown , passed away Friday, April 6, 2012 at his home.  Born in Windsor , he was raised in Yardville and was a longtime Allentown area resident.  A US Army veteran, Bill retired as Forman from Agway in Yardville and was the owner of Patterson Trucking.  He will always be remembered for his love of all animals, touring and camping in his RV, and for his old rusty 1926 Model T, which he drove faithfully in both the Yardville and Allentown Memorial Day parades.  Above all, Bill loved his family and enjoyed all family gatherings.

Son of the late William H. and Mamie Patterson, he was predeceased by his wife, Joan M. Patterson, his grandson, Dale Alexander and his brother, Ralph Patterson.  William is survived by his children, William Patterson, III and his wife Dawn of Yardville, Patricia Saker and her husband Louis of Freehold, Vicki Franken and her husband James of Allentown and Linda Patterson and her boyfriend Joseph Arroyo of Bordentown; his grandchildren, Nicole Sprague and her husband Nathaniel, Stephanie Rodriguez and her husband Stephen, Kelly Patterson, Jay Franken, Michael Franken and his fiancée Rachael McFarland and Keith Alexander; a great granddaughter, Alexa Rodriguez; his dear friend Millie Foy of Hamilton Square; three sisters, Marie Steward and her husband Sam of Yardville, Frances Patterson of Stratton, Maine and Jule Rule and her husband Craig of Toms River as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 11am on Wednesday, April 11th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown .  Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery , Hamilton .  Friends may call Wednesday from 9 am until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Allentown United Methodist Church , 23 Church St. Allentown , NJ 08501 or to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey at Hamilton, 2575 Klockner Rd. , Hamilton , NJ 08690 .
