William F. Morris, 84, of Whiting passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at Whiting Health Care. Born in Hightstown, he was a lifetime resident until moving to Whiting 16 years ago. A World War II US Army Veteran, William retired after 32 years of employment at Delaval in Trenton in the Time Study Department. He was a member of the Hightstown Apollo Lodge # 41 F&AM, the Hightstown American Legion Post 148 and the Whiting United Methodist Church.
Son of the Late Frank and Edna Morris, William is survived by his wife of 62 years, Audrey Morris; two sons Gary Morris of Woodbridge and Glenn Morris of Robbinsville; a daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Richard Carter of Allentown; two brothers Robert and Joseph Morris, both of WA; a sister Frances Neil of CO; a special family friend, Colleen Duhnowski; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held 11am on Friday, February 4 th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8pm and again Friday 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834 or to the Whiting United Methodist Church, 55 Lacey Road, Whiting, NJ 08759.
