William A. Montrey , 79, passed away Monday January 23, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, he had lived in Columbus before moving to Manahawkin several years ago. Bill was a Coast Guard Veteran and had worked for Occidental Chemical Company in Burlington. He was a member of the Mercer County Anglers Association, The Mount Holly Moose Lodge #737 and the New Jersey Beach Buggy Association. Bill was a fan of Nascar but had a passion for Surf fishing and enjoyed fish carving and painting.

Predeceased by his parents Augustus and Ruth Montrey, his sisters: Marjorie Berg and Patty Jean and his beloved wife: Sharon Montrey (Larner) he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Paul and JoAnn Montrey of Columbus, NJ and daughter and son-in-law: Renee and Kenneth Supple of Brooksville, FL. His brother George Montrey of Cranbury, NJ. His grandchildren: Kenny Supple and his wife Melanie, David Supple and his wife Brianna, Megan and Riley Montrey and great grandchildren: Daenerys and Reagan as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

A viewing with the family will be held Thursday, January 26 from 10 am to 12 pm with services beginning at 12 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
