Obituary

William J. Gaynor, 60, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday. Born in Trenton he was a longtime Bordentown resident before moving to Hamilton 4 months ago. William attended St. Mary's Elementary School in Bordentown and was a 1966 graduate of Bordentown High School. An US Army Vietnam Veteran, William served in the Military Police Army, graduating from the MP School in Ft. Gorden, GA. He was stationed at Ft. Sill, OK before being deployed to Vietnam. William worked for Borden's Dairy, Deckers Dairy, Greenwood Dairy and Lehigh Valley Dairy and was currently employed at Stepan Company in Fieldsboro where he worked for 22 years. He was a member of United Electrical Radio & Machine Workers of America Local 155. William was an Exempt Lifetime member of Consolidated Fire Association of Bordentown, the past assistant chief of Bordentown Fire Company, past member of Mission Fire Company in Bordentown Twp, a member of Moose Lodge # 737 of Mt. Holly and the VFW Post 3525 of Hamilton.

Son of the late Edward G. and Catherine Hart Gaynor he was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Anne Foster, Michelle Denelesbeck and Thomas Gaynor. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, with whom he resided, Rebecca and Frank Martin of Hamilton; his son and daughter-in-law, William J., Jr. and Carol Gaynor of Bordentown; two grandchildren, Kasey and Cole Martin of Hamilton; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Edward, III and Phyllis Gaynor of Glendale, AZ, David and Irene Gaynor of Evesham, Martin and Ethel Gaynor of Bordentown and Michael and Patty Gaynor of Bordentown as well as many nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 10am at St. Mary Church, Bordentown. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Consolidated Fire Association, PO Box 47, Bordentown, NJ 08505.
