William A. Fitzpatrick, 89, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Virtua Memorial Hospital of Burlington, in Mt. Holly. Born in Trenton, he had lived in Bordentown prior to moving to Whiting 15 years ago. William was a WW II Air Force Veteran and a member of the caterpillar club. He was a graduate of the American International College of Springfield, MA and retired from US Steel, Fairless Works in 1982 and worked part-time for Sears for 21 years. After graduating from Mercer County Health Occupational Center as an LPN, he worked for Dr. Robert and Elyse Carty of Bordentown before retiring in 1993 and was a hospice volunteer until 1996. William was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all.
Son of the late William and Cecelia Fitzpatrick, husband of the late Edna Fitzpatrick, brother of the late John ""Connie"" and Richard Fitzpatrick and father-in-law of the late James Maione, he is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Donna L. Maione of Yardville, Bonnie and Barry Ferriolo of North Hanover and Mary Beth Glen of Upper Deerfield, NJ, his son and daughter-in-law, Wm Edward and Ada Fitzpatrick of Florence Twp, his sister, Cecelia Jean Brozda of Whiting. Ten grandchildren, Christopher Smith and his wife Michelle, Andrea L. Tao and her husband Christopher, Marie E. Ferriolo, Jessica L. , Caitlin and Molly Marie Fitzpatrick, Matthew J., Brian A., Gregory A. and Jacob A. Glen and four great grandchildren, Nathanael and Alana Tao and Rylee M. Glen and Matthew J. Quigley-Glen Jr., nieces and nephews and close friend of the family Bill Fraser.
Funeral Services will be 6 pm Saturday, May 7 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Family and friends are invited to call from 4 pm until time of service. Memorial Contributions can be made out to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 and to American Cancer Society P.O. Box 22718 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
