William Barlen, 79, of Allentown, died on Friday, December 9, 2016 at his home. Born in Lakewood, NJ, he was a US Army veteran. Bill attended Rutgers University where he earned his degree in Chemistry. He went on to work for several companies in the compressed gas field, until retiring as Technical Director from Compressed Gas Association in 1993. Bill then started, Barlen and Associates, working as a consultant for the compressed gas industry.

Predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Helmi Barlen; Bill is survived by his sister, Mary Caskey and her family as well as many dear friends.

Services for Bill will be private at a later date.
