William J. Baker, 90, of Whiting, passed away Friday, September 4, 2020 at Park Place Long-term Care and Rehabilitation in South Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Cream Ridge for many years before moving to Whiting. William was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a salesman for 3M for many years and formerly owned a copy machine repair company in San Luis Obispo, CA. A faithful member of St. Joseph's Church in Millstone, William enjoyed gardening, going to the beach, and taking walks on the boardwalk.

Son of the late George and Mary Baker, he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Joyce Baker. He is survived by his only son, William J. Baker, II; his sister, Joan Chiofalo; two stepdaughters, Kathryn Wood and Judith Scharite as well as 22 nieces and nephews and 28 great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 1pm on Friday, September 11, 2020 at Emley's Hill Cemetery in Cream Ridge. Arrangements are under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
