Walter J. Szymanski, 91, of Cream Ridge, passed away Friday, February 23, 2024 at Serenity Hospice in Hamilton. Born in Montreal, Canada in 1932, Walter moved to the US at age 14. He graduated from Allentown High School in 1951 and immediately entered the US Air Force where he proudly served for 4 years. Walter worked as a machinist several places including Johnson & Johnson before retiring from Lipton Company in 1994. He loved fishing, woodworking, traveling and helping others with their projects.

Son of the late Roman and Anastasia Szymanski, he was predeceased by his daughter,  Cindy Paschal. Walter is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Betty; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Kurt Amburgey; his sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda Szymanski and Thomas and Sandy Szymanski; his son-in-law, Wayne Paschal; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren, as well as many other extended family and dear friends.

Cremation will be private at the convenience of the family and a remembrance service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Walter's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or at www.stjude.org .  Arrangements under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
