Walter Smolyn, Jr., 71 of East Windsor, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022 at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold.  Born in Elizabeth, he resided in Upper Freehold Twp. until moving to East Windsor six years ago. The occasional fisherman, Walter worked as a maintenance man for most of his life and enjoyed playing with his dogs, Daisy and Bailey. But above all, he loved spending time with his family and his beloved grandchildren.

Son of the late Walter Sr. and Rita Smolyn, he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Heather Smolyn of Jackson; his two daughters and son-in-law, Nicole Renee Smolyn of East Windsor and Melanie and Marc Ribera of Florence; his three grandchildren, Allison, Scarlett and Liam and his sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Tom Brauchle of Allentown.

A memorial service will be held 8pm on Monday, October 17 ^th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown.  A visitation with the family will be held Monday from 6pm until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Walter's name to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
