Wally Hume , 89, of Browns Mills, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Mount Holly Rehab, surrounded by family. Born in Russia near the Black Sea, Wally grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. She studied cosmetology and worked as a beautician in Germany before moving, with her growing family, to the United States on March 17, 1965.

After relocating to New Jersey, Wally worked for many years at Deborah Heart and Lung as a certified nursing assistant. It was a career that she loved and her co-workers at the hospital became a second family to her. Wally loved spending time in her garden and enjoyed painting, crafting, and shopping.  Her greatest love was her family and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Wally was predeceased by her husband, Walter F. Hume and her daughter, Jaqueline Gray. She is survived by her children, Monika Ellison and her husband John, Karl Egner, and John Peter Gray and his girlfriend Colleen Rubino. She is also survived by her grandchildren, John Ellison, Michael Ellison and his wife Nicole, Kristina Johnson, Heather Dipaolo, and Megan Gray and her great grandchildren, Michael and Jennah Parker, Brian Dipaolo, Calvin and Graham Ellison and Luxe Allison.

Services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, December 9 at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Due to the limited time allowed at the cemetery, please meet at the cemetery no later than 1:45 pm

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wally's name to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Rd, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
