IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vivian Helene
(Sheppard) Marusky
August 22, 1935 – September 19, 2023
Vivian Helene (Sheppard) Marusky, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2023 at home with her daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and James Bethea, surrounded by family. Vivian was born August 22, 1935 in Winooski, Vermont to Arthur and Albina (Benoit) Sheppard. She married her husband Stephen Marusky on July 14, 1956. Together they raised four children, residing in Hamilton Square since 1960.
Vivian was a devoted Catholic and member of St. Gregory the Great Church since 1960. She enjoyed annual trips visiting family in Vermont and spending time at Long Beach Island. She was considered the "rock" of the family. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and Broadway shows. Always displaying a positive attitude, she instilled a "can-do" attitude in her children and grandchildren. She often stated, "the word can't is not in our vocabulary". Vivian worked in law offices as a legal secretary for 35 years before retiring. She will be sorely missed.
Special thanks from the family to Vivian Bethea and her husband James, and sons, Thomas and Matthew, for all their devoted love and care, as well as to Rob Marusky for his endless love and support in caring for his mother.
Vivian was predeceased by her devoted husband, Stephen; son, Thomas; grandson, Frank; sisters, Doris, Dorothy, Gwen, Marie, Rita, Grace, Joan, and Jane; and brothers, Oscar, Douglas, and Thomas. She is survived by her children, Steven W. Marusky (Donna Fera) of Hamilton, Michael A. Marusky (Sherly) of Mercerville, Vivian Bethea (James) of Allentown, and Robert Marusky (Denise) of Hamilton; grandsons, Michael A. Marusky II, Steven V. Marusky (Alicia), Thomas and Matthew Bethea; granddaughters, Michelle Marusky, Anastasia Taglienti, Jordan, Samantha, and Bethany Marusky; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 4-6pm on Monday, Sept. 25th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 6pm at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery.
