Virginia L. Field, 70, of Southbury, CT, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Bethel Health and Rehab Center in Bethel, CT.  Born in Trenton, NJ, she resided in the Hightstown, NJ area for 45 years before eventually settling in Southbury in 1988.  Virginia was an antiques dealer for most of her life and was very proud of her accomplishments with the 4H, of which she was a member and a former club leader.

Daughter of the late C. Howell and Geneva M. Updike, she is survived by her husband of 48 years, Loren Field; a son, Brian Field of Southbury, CT; a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Tom Rohlfs of Amherst, NH as well as her grandchildren, Jacob Field and Lauren, Holly and Charlotte Rohlfs.

Services were private at the convenience of the family.  Interment was held in East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor, NJ.  Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.  Arrangements under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown, NJ.
