Vera F. Wood, 89, of Robbinsville, passed away Saturday, January 31, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton. Born and raised in Detroit, MI; she resided in Beverly Hills, Fl for many years before moving to East Windsor and later Robbinsville. Vera was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown and was very active with her community at Rose Hill in Robbinsville.

Daughter of the late Victor Samuels, she was predeceased by her husband, Hubert M. Wood and a brother, Chester Samuels; she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Herbert Lord of East Windsor; two grandchildren and their spouses, David and Anna Lord of Albuquerque, NM and Christine and Shane Boring of Colombia, SC and two great grandsons, Grant Lord and Jack Boring.

Funeral Service will be held 11am on Wednesday, February 3rd at the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown. The Rev. Bryan Franzen will officiate. Interment will follow in East Windsor Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown and again Wednesday from 10-11am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Vera's name to the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown, 320 N. Main St. Hightstown, NJ 08520.
