Vera R. Tilton, 98, of Yardville, passed away Sunday at Compassionate Care Hospice, Trenton. Born in Allentown, she was a lifetime Yardville area resident. Mrs. Tilton retired in 1974 after working for 29 years at the Yardville and Trenton Post Office. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Yardville where she played the organ and sang in the choir. Mrs. Tilton was also a member of the Golden Hour Senior Citizens of Groveville and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

She is survived by her very special friend, Joseph Bruno of Yardville; a sister, Florence Furfey; a niece Gayle Reisini and two great nieces.

Funeral service will be held Thursday 11am at the United Presbyterian Church of Yardville. Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.
