Obituary

Vera Cannata, 103 of Millstone Twp., passed away Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Hamilton Continuing Care Center. Born in Union City, NJ, she resided there for much of her life prior to moving to Millstone Twp. Vera loved life and lived it well. She had an active social life and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Never one to miss Happy Hour, Vera enjoyed her Dewars scotch every afternoon at 2pm. She loved to dance and enjoyed getting dressed up and having her nails done and always had a smile on her face. Vera was also a talented baker and was known especially for her cream puffs and her biscotti.

Predeceased by her husband, Harold Cannata, Sr., she is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Karen Cannata of Millstone and Harold Jr. and Susan Cannata of Millstone; her granddaughters, Lori and Mark Leonard and their children M.J and Alexis, Jacqueline Ostolaza and her children, Isabella, Joseph and Aldo, Cynthia Cannata and Jessica Cannata; her sister, Phyllis Schuette as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Wednesday, March 27 th at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 1282 Yardville Allentown Rd. Friends may call Wednesday from 9-10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Interment will be held in Weehawken Cemetery, North Bergen.
