Obituary

Vito William Rinaldi, 79, of Allentown, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in North Arlington, he was a lifetime resident of the area before moving to Allentown in 2002. A US Army veteran, stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict, Will worked as a stationary engineer for the NY/NJ Port Authority, retiring in 1993 after 33 years of service. He was a former member of Queen of Peace Parish and the Knights of Columbus #3428 in North Arlington. After moving to Allentown, he joined the St. John's Parish and the Knights of Columbus #7333. Will was active in his communities and volunteered for many local organizations and enjoyed golfing and music of the 1940's and 50's. Above all, Will loved being with his family and friends; sharing stories and laughter.

Son of the late Angelo and Louise Rinaldi; he is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Shirley A. Rinaldi; his children and their spouses, Bill and Shari Rinaldi of Bridgewater, Diane and Philip Bartfield of Lawrenceville, Tom Rinaldi of Kearny and Barbara and Edward Miller of Easton, PA; his grandchildren, Alyssa and Thomas Rinaldi, Alexandra, Aaron and Daniel Bartfield and Eric, Brian, Jack and Caroline Miller; a brother, Robert Rinaldi as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am on Thursday, April 24 th at St. John's Church, 1282 Yardville Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 4-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1111 Stewart Ave., Bethpage, NY 11714.
