Thomas J. Malsbury, 68, of Neptune City, peacefully passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 with family by his side. Born in Trenton, Thomas resided in Allentown for most of his life prior to retiring to his Neptune City beach house. A graduate of Allentown High school in 1968 he went on to receive his Bachelor of Education at West Chester State College in 1972. He earned his Masters of Education and Athletic Training Degree from University of Arizona. He taught at Princeton Day School where he also served as the Athletic Director. In 1986, he left the field of education to begin a career in construction. An avid fisherman, Thomas loved being on his boat and on the water. He was a generous man with a kind and gentle spirit, offering help to anyone in need. Above all, Thomas was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Son of the late Barclay P. and H. Lucile Malsbury, he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Cynthia Stover Malsbury; his children, Thomas B. Malsbury and wife Tina of Easthampton, Ma., Jessica Ugi and husband Mark of Upper Freehold Twp. NJ and William A. Malsbury and wife Aashley of Gardiner, ME; his grandchildren, Adam, Nathan and Katherine Ugi and Everett Malsbury; his brother, Allen S. Malsbury and wife Judy of Parsippany, NJ; his sister, Linda Ross of Bridgewater, NJ; father-in-law, Alvin C Stover of Hamilton NJ; brother-in-law, John C. Stover and wife Peggy of Hamilton, NJ; sister-in-law Valerie Lawrence of Whiting, NJ; brother-in-law Alvin C Stover III and wife Evelyn of Barnegate, NJ as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held Sunday, January 27 th from 2:00 to 5:00 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11:00 am at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St., Allentown. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for brain tumor research by leaving check in collection basket at service or sending directly to Musella Foundation , 1100 Peninsula Blvd, Hewlett, NY 11557 in memory of Tom Malsbury.
