Thomas Malibashka, 68, of Cream Ridge, New Jersey, passed away on November 23rd, 2015 after a battle with cancer.
Born in Manhattan, he moved to Freehold, New Jersey when he was young and that is where his interest in horses began. He became a resident of Cream Ridge in 1979, when he and his wife, Mique, started Camelot Farm. It was on the farm that they raised their children, Stacie and Brett, and Tom enjoyed a long career as a harness horse owner and trainer. He retired in 2001, but still actively managed the farm. Tom spent his spare time with family and enjoyed time at the beach in particular.
Predeceased by his son, Brett Malibashka, Tom is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mique Malibashka; his sister and brother-in-law, Laura and Gus Wedin; his daughter and son-in-law, Stacie and Howard Mintz and his grandchildren Rachel Mintz, Jessica Mintz, Brian Mintz and Anderson Malibashka. He was a loving and loyal husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be missed dearly.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 28th at Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. Tom was an avid reader, so, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Allentown Public Library, PO Box 383, Allentown, NJ 08501.
