Thomas E. Crook Jr., 88, passed away with his family by his side at St. Mary Medical Center, in Langhorne, PA. Born in Trenton, he was raised in the Westover/Yardley area and moved to Bordentown 61 years ago. Thomas attended the Pennington School and the University of Pennsylvania. A US Army Air Corp veteran, Thomas served as a C-47 pilot for the 5th Airforce, Troop 374, 33 Squadron, spending 18 months in the South Pacific. He then went on to serve during the Korean Conflict. He retired as Supervisor of quality control from Hill Refrigeration in Trenton. Thomas was also a member of the Mount Moriah Lodge F.&A.M. for over 50 years.
Son of the late Thomas E. Crook, Sr. and Hattie Austin Crook, he is survived by his wife of 65 years, Bettie Crook (nee Archer); his son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E., III and Alisha Crook of Yardley, PA; two grandsons, Evan B. Crook of Los Angeles, CA and Andrian G. Crook of New Brunswick as well as many nieces, nephew and cousins.
Funeral Service will be held Friday 10:30am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening from 7-9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASPCA, 424 E. 92nd St, New York, NY 10128-6804.
