Obituary

Thomas C. Carroll , age 67, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away at his home with his family by his side after a long courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Born in Trenton, NJ he was a resident of the Bordentown area all of his life.  Tom was predeceased by his parents Robert and Patricia Carroll (nee McHale Danehower).  He is also predeceased by several nephews.

He was an uncle to the late Paul and Justin Gromlich, Jason Pearson, Bobby Carroll Jr., John Andrew and Corey Fokides.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Sharon Carroll (nee Moreau) and two daughters and sons-in-law.  Tara McKean and her husband Robert(Rob) and Erin Campbell and her husband Colin .  He is survived by five grandchildren, Noah, Talon, Avery, Joanna, and Daisy. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Joann Zagursky of Bordentown.

Tom is also survived by seven siblings: Martha (Marty) Gromlich and her husband Richard and Patricia (Patty) Pearson all of Virginia, Robert (Bobby) Carroll of Bordentown Township, Debra (Debbie) Prichard and her husband (Robert) Bob of Columbus, Judith (Judy) Swem and her husband Robert (Bob) of Yardville, Lynn Nucera and her husband Jack of Florence and Joyce Kuc and her husband Robert (Bob) of Southampton.

Tom was also survived by his sister-in-law, Babette Edgar and her husband Todd of Maryland as well as two brother-in-laws, Joseph Moreau and his wife Lori of Trenton and Paul Moreau and his wife Megan of Lumberton. Tom was blessed with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him.

Tom was a graduate of Bordentown Regional Class of 1975 and had worked for GE/Trane Industries in Trenton for 37 years as well as the Bordentown Armory for the National Guard in Bordentown Township.

He was a member of Mary, Mother of the Church Parish, (formerly known as St. Mary's Church in Bordentown), the Bordentown Elks Lodge #2085, the Yapewi Aquatic Club of Bordentown and was a house member of the VFW #491 of Yardville.  Tom was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved to fish, hunt, and walk through the woods.  His dream was to have a cabin in the woods.

Tom was an unselfish individual and would drop everything to help someone in need.  He will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on November 1, 2024 at 11:00 am at Mary, Mother of the Church Parish (St. Mary's) 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown. Friends may call on the family from 9:00-10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Mary's cemetery, Bordentown Township, NJ.
