Theodore Lutz, Jr. 72 of Columbus passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Virtua Medical Center, Mt. Holly. Born in Camden, he grew up on the family farm on Elbow Lane in Mt Laurel, NJ where they raised pigs for market, until he moved to the Columbus area in 1967 and was well known throughout Burlington County. He was the owner and operator of Lutz's Lawn and Landscaping which he founded in 1975 and is now carried on by his son Steven. Theodore adored his two grandchildren and loved to hunt. He was an avid outdoors man and active in his community. Theodore was a member of the South Park Hunting Club; the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085; Mount Moriah # 28 F&AM of Bordentown and the NRA. He was also a member of Ducks Unlimited; the Federation of Sportsmen; the National Wildlife Federation; Wildlife Forever; The North American Hunting Club; NJ Outdoor Alliance; Second Amendment Foundation; Fur Takers of America; North American Fishing Club and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
Son of the late Theodore and Louise Lutz he was predeceased by his daughter, Pamela Lutz Chastain and his sister, Caroline Goodwin; he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Dawn Lutz; his grandchildren, Steven A. Lutz Jr. and Kylee M. Lutz; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Louise Sprose and Judith and Boyd Grandy; his close friend, Joyce Lutz as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation with the family will be held from 10-11am on Saturday, September 28 th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown, An Elks Service will begin at 11am followed by a memorial service. The family will host a luncheon at the Bordentown Elks Lodge immediately following the services, all are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.Visits: 0
