Teresa Bologna, age 69, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, April 28th, 2022 at her home. Born in Neptune, NJ she resided in Cream Ridge, NJ before moving to Myrtle Beach, SC. Teresa was a former member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Allentown, NJ.

She was the eldest daughter of the late Thomas Gebhardt and the late Margaret Anderson Gebhardt. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband and father of their children, James Bologna of Quakertown, PA; sister, Kathleen Tillman of Bunnell, FL; and brother, James Gebhardt of Wall, NJ.

Teresa completed studies in early childhood education at Brookdale Community College. Using her degree, she served as an early childhood educator at Brighter Futures, Child Development Center Earle Naval Base in Colts Neck, NJ, before she moved to Swansboro, NC. In Swansboro, she found joy in being a Branch Manager for the Carteret County Public Library System in NC until she retired in 2015.

As a woman of strong faith, Teresa spent time giving back to her community throughout the years by delivering meals to homebound residents for Meals on Wheels, assisting senior community members with transportation for New Egypt Senior Outreach Services, and supporting her children's extracurricular activities.

Teresa will be remembered for her kind heart, the lasting impact she made on those she interacted with, and her many passions. On a sunny day, Teresa would venture to the beach to enjoy the sea breeze, grab some ice cream with her grandchildren, or stay at home and enjoy an audio book on the porch. She was an immense fan of the arts; some may even call her a movie buff who treasured classic films, musicals, and fantasy features. She would even cherish the gloomy days by gaming online or baking her delicious chocolate chip cookies to surprise family and friends.

Teresa is survived by her four children: Michael Bologna and late wife Leah of Jacksonville, NC, Carla Hendrickson and her husband Sam of Cream Ridge, NJ, Jason Bologna and his wife Ofelia of Tacoma WA, and Joseph Bologna and his wife Cristina of Brick, NJ; three sisters: Patricia DiChiara and her husband Sal of Brick, NJ; Maria Carson and her husband Rich of Conway, SC; Dawn Delph and husband Tom of Chickamauga, GA and three brothers: Thomas Gebhardt and wife Ederlinda of Honolulu, HI; Joseph Gebhardt and wife Madelaine of Farmingdale, NJ and John Gebhardt and wife Karol-Lynn of Jensen Beach, FL.; grandchildren who knew her as Grammy: Ian, Zakkery, Cheyenne, Emily, Casey, Anthony, Andrew, and Sadie; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated 11am Friday, June 17, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church 1282 Yardville Allentown Rd, Allentown, NJ 08501. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Allentown NJ. In lieu of flowers the family invites donations in Teresa's honor to the American Cancer Society www.cancer.org
