Tamara Kardashinetz, 89, of Columbus, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011 at her daughter's home. Born in Ukraine, she moved to the US in 1949. She was an editor for Svoboda, a Ukrainian Newspaper and was one of the founding members of the Rutherford Patriots. Tamara made an impression on everyone she met and was able to weave a tapestry of song, music and politics into every occasion. Her passing leaves a void in the lives of her children and grandchildren and there is now one less song to be heard.
Daughter of the late Artem and Anna Musienko, she was predeceased by three brothers, a sister and two nephews. Tamara is survived by two sons and a daughter, Anatole and Martha Kardashinetz of Berkley Heights, Ronald and Mary Kardashinetz of Clifton and Victoria and Guy Yasika of Springfield Twp.; five grandchildren, Roman, Michele and Ronnie Kardashinetz, D.J. Cronrath and his wife Danielle and Tolyk Cronrath as well as a niece.
A visitation will be held Monday November 7 th from 6-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St., Bordentown, NJ 08505. Funeral Service will be celebrated 9 am on Tuesday at the St. George Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 839 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Bound Brook, NJ.
