Sylvia M. Gray, 78 of Burlington passed away Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Masonic Home, Burlington.  Born in Allentown, she was a resident of Allentown and Hainesport for most of her life before moving to the Masonic Home.  Sylvia was an investment bookkeeper at the Masonic Home and worked as a bartender at Eddie's Bar and Lounge in Hainesport.  She also volunteered for the Masonic Home and many community organizations.

Daughter of the late H. Russell and Alice Brown, she was predeceased by her husband, William R. Gray, Sr., her son, John G. Gray, two grandsons, Rocky and Jeremy Gray, two brothers, Charles R. Brown and R. William Brown and her best friend, Mary Anna Gold.  She is survived by her children and their spouses, Susan and Roger Abbott of Hainesport, Jeanne and Philip Smith of Presidential Lakes, Joanne Horner of Hainesport, William R., II and Junko Gray of Yokota, Japan, Robert and Sandi Gray of West Deptford, James and Alice Gray of Browns Mills and Patricia Glover of Wilmington, NC; a brother and sister-in-law, Philip S. and Carol Brown of Carthage, NC as well as 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Thursday, July 18 ^th with a service to begin at 8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Rd.
