Sylvia A. Goodrich, 85 of Hamilton, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021, surrounded by family. Born in McAdoo, Pennsylvania, Sylvia, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was a longtime Hamilton area resident. She resided in California, Arizona and North Carolina before moving back to New Jersey to be closer to her family.
Sylvia worked as a clerk for Sears Surplus for many years. After she moved to California, she and her husband worked as Managers for a mobile home park. A woman devoted to her faith and family, Sylvia loved being with her family and friends and enjoyed visiting the casino, shopping, playing card games, bunko and bingo. She crocheted all of her life and made things for all of her family and friends, For several years, she was active with the Robbinsville Elks Ladies Auxiliary. In her later years, she and her husband enjoyed travelling for both work and pleasure to many places including Alaska, Mexico and Hawaii just to name a few.
Daughter of the late Mary and Anthony Brinchek, she was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Brinchek and by two infant siblings. She was also predeceased by her loving husband of almost 25 years, Richard Goodrich and by her former husband of 27 years and close friend, Michael Tolerico. Sylvia is survived by her children and their spouses, LeaAnn and Joseph Borromeo; Michael and Susan Tolerico; Theresa Feminella and Peggy A. and John (J.C.) Stover; her fourteen grandchildren and their spouses, Laurie and Michael Kiernan, Joseph Borromeo and Brandi Vallesteros, Joseph Yaros, Melissa and Brad Braithwaite, Alison and William Thomas, Jeffrey Jarzyk, Brianna Jarzyk, Alexa Feminella, John Stover II and his fiancée Valerie Pellecchia, Brandon Stover and his fiancée Sarah Dyson, Coty Stover and his fiancée Lea Bailey; Courtney Stover, Rebecca Stover and Noah Stover, her fourteen great grandchildren, Emalea and Michael Kiernan Jr., D.J. and J.R. Borromeo, Joseph Pinto, Madison and Jillian Yaros, Brooke and Brynne Braithwaite, Kayleigh Tolerico-Bates and Summer Thomas, Elliot and Madilynn Dyson-Stover and Mavis Cadigan. Sylvia is also survived by two brothers, John Brinchek and Thomas Brinchek as well as several stepchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
A celebratory memorial service will be held 10am on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, 20 High St. Allentown.
