Susan L. Spence, 65, of Bordentown, passed away Saturday, February 28th at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly. Born in Princeton, she was a resident of Bordentown for many years. Susan earned her Bachelor's Degree from Douglass College; a Master's in Social Work from Rutgers University and was a graduate of Rutgers Law School in Camden. She worked for many years as an Attorney for New Jersey Public Advocates Office. Susan was active in many Bordentown community organizations and was a volunteer for Habitat For Humanity. Susan was a special person who leaves behind many friends and relatives. She was a true friend to all people in need.
Daughter of the late William E. Spence, she is survived by her mother, Emma Spence; her siblings, Carol and Angelo Aulletta of Skillman, Nancy Morrow of Jacobstown, Richard and Claire Spence of Cherry Hill, Tim and Eileen Spence of Hamilton Twp., Bill and Kathy Spence of Cherry Hill and Joanne and Bob Haines of Yardville; her nieces and nephews, Erinn Auletta , Jennifer Serowick, Michael, David and Dan Morrow, Erica Rohr, Allison Wilson, Chris, Brian, Amanda, Colin and Katy Spence and Bobby, Ryan and Adam Haines; her great nieces and nephews, Jack, Jules, Henry, Alex, Alexis, Decker, Tyler, Sophia and Joseph; her cousins, Ronnie, Sheila, Beth, Bob and Dan; her beloved caregiver, Miraslava Bruher as well as many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Wednesday, March 4th at St. Mary's Church, Bordentown. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Allentown. Friends may call Tuesday 6-9pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St. Bordentown.
