Obituary

Steven D. Cubberley, 55 of Florence, passed away suddenly at Princeton Hospital on Friday, May 18, 2018.  Born on his father's birthday in Hamilton, NJ, he was a longtime Florence resident. Steven coached his two daughters' soccer teams and was their biggest and most devoted fan.  He was happiest fishing at Island Beach State Park or on his boat on the Delaware and he generally believed he was a much more successful fisherman than he was. Steven was an avid reader and an avid fan of the Baltimore and Indianapolis Colts.  Though he was disappointed with their last season, he had high hopes for Andrew Luck's recovery.  He was also a fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Sixers and very much "trusted the process".

Steven was predeceased by his parents, Alvin and Adele Cubberley, his sister, Susan Cubberley Smith and by his beloved dog, Libby.  He is survived by his loving wife, Lynda A. Kelly; his daughters whom he adored, Cori Lynn and Nicole Cubberley and her boyfriend Nick Wilbert; his stepson, Bryan Kelly; his sisters and their husbands, Rosanne and David Palmieri and Nancy and Owen Briggs; his brother and his wife, David and Yvonne Cubberley; his mother-in-law and her husband, Alice and Bill Heisler; his father-in-law, Fred Stults; his sisters-in-law, Sue Scozzaro and Beth Turgyan; many nieces, nephews and friends and his faithful canine companion, Cooper, who was always by his side.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 22 th from 10am-12noon at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown.  Interment will follow in the Cream Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Steven's name to the Burlington County Animal Shelter, 35 Academy Drive, Westampton, NJ 08060.
