Obituary

Steven Boor, 80, passed away peacefully on Nov. 16 at Robert Wood Hospital in Hamilton with his family by his side. He was retired from the Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local 89 after 33 years of dedicated service, where he took pride in being a faithful member of a strong union that helped build this great country. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years, during the Korean War, where he was Staff Sergaent and part of the 606 Air Control Warning (ACW) and 502 Air Tactical Command.

He loved the outdoors and enjoyed Nascar, playing golf and fishing. He was loved as a husband, father, grandfather and caring friend. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He rests in his heavenly home and will be missed by many.

He is survived by his wife, Vilma Boor. He is also survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Steven Jr. and Sonya Boor and their children, Steven and Sophia, his daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Roger Fueling and their children, Amelia, Aaron and Olivia: his son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Lisa Boor and their children, John, Erica and Douglas: his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and David Garrett and their daughter Zipporah. He is survived by two brothers, a sister, sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
