Stephen M. Turgyan, 77, passed away suddenly on February 28, 2018. Born in Roebling he had been a resident of Bordentown for the last 70 years. He attended Trenton Catholic High School and owned and operated "Bet2Win Farm" in Bordentown Township. He was a member of the Jersey Devil Drum and Bugle Corps, the New Jersey Farm Bureau, the Central Jersey Tractor Pullers Association, the New Egypt Elks, was a member and usher at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church and was on the Board of Directors for the Bordentown Cemetery. Steve would volunteer his time and equipment to the community, was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be deeply missed.
Predeceased by his parents Stephen and Julia Turgyan and his beloved wife, Betty Lou Turgyan(Gravatt), he is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Mark and Sharon Turgyan of Bordentown Township. His daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Charles DeBow of Eastampton. NJ. His sisters and brothers-in-law: Lorraine and Barclay Townsend of Chesterfield and Linda and Greg Kinczel of Jacksonburg, WV. His sister-in-law: Rita Gravatt of Florence Township, four grandchildren: Stephen Turgyan and his fiancé Jaime Hurley, Drew Turgyan and Jenna Krichling and Paige and Morgan DeBow, his cousin: Richard Broad of Bordentown, close friend Jack Homa of Chesterfield and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Tuesday, March 6 at St. Mary's Church, 45 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery. Friends may call Monday evening from 6 to 9 pm and again on Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The American Cancer Society or to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church of Bordentown.
