Stanley Leverett, Jr. 41, of Jackson, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at his home. Born in Trenton, Stanley graduated from Allentown High School and worked for Monmouth County Division of Social Services. Stanley was an excellent cook and was known for throwing great summer barbeques. He also enjoyed gambling in Las Vegas, playing blackjack and betting on horses. He always knew how to tell a good story and make you laugh. Above all, Stanley was an extremely giving person. He was always there to help anyone in need.
Son of the late Betty Mae Leverett, grandson of the late Louis Leverett and James and Bessie Austell, Stanley is survived by his loving wife, Mary Campbell Leverett, with whom he's been with for 7 years; his father, Stanley Leverett, Sr.; his brother, Kareem Leverett; his sister, Gwendolyn Darleen Leverett; his grandmother, Earlean Welch; nieces and nephews, Jasmyn, Jocelyn, Frankie Jr., Francina, Bernard, Demetrius and Whitney; parents-in-law, Jeffrey and Mary Campbell as well as many, many family and friends. Funeral Service will be held 10 am on Saturday, March 26th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton. Friends may call Friday, March 25th from 6-9pm and again Saturday from 9-10am at the funeral home.
