Stanley J. Gurdak, 90, of Robbinsville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2016. Born in Passaic, he was a life time resident of New Sharon. A graduate of Allentown High School and Rider University, Stanley was a WWII Army Veteran serving in the European Theater of Operations where he participated in two major battles. He retired as a Supervising Accountant from the New Jersey Department of Labor where he worked for 28 years. After his retirement, he and his wife Ruth volunteered for Robert Wood Johnson Hospital. He was a past president of the Washington Twp. Lions Club, a member of the Bordentown Elks, Lodge # 2085, the RWJ 50 plus Club and the Robbinsville Fellowship Club. Stanley was also a longtime parishioner of St. John's Church in Allentown.
Son of the late Michael and Anna (Kopec) Gurdak; he was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Ruth; his daughter, Peggy Gurdak Nixon; grandson, Gregory Suder and his brother, Walter Gurdak. Stanley is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Joseph Suder of Langhorne, PA and Maggie and Anthony Corsi of Bordentown; his grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Suder and Nicholas and Caitlin Corsi; his sister, Helen Wylie as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am on Wednesday, March 2nd at St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7-9pm and again Wednesday from 9-10am at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown. Mass cards are appreciated.
