Sonya Ashley Johnson, 39, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at her home. Born in Austin, TX, she lived in NJ her whole life. Sonya was a beautiful woman who enjoyed fashion, changing up her style, and being glamorous. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and especially spending time with family and friends.

Daughter of the late Steven Johnson, Sonya is survived by her children, Amber, Gabriella, Giovanni, and Tyson; her mother, Jamie Gomez; her sister, Brooke; brother, Cliff; nephews, Aiden, John Jr. and Nicholas, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and of course, dear friends.

Services will be private under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
