Sidney Starr, 92 of Whiting, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Philadelphia, Sidney was a WWII Army veteran and worked as a diesel mechanic for many years. After his retirement, Sidney continued to work as a courier for Catholic Charities.

Predeceased by a son, Bruce, Sidney is survived by his wife of Geraldine "Jerry" Starr whom he has been with for 43 years, his daughters Rhea, Lynn, Beth Ann and Sandra; his step-children, Richard, whom he helped raise, David, Jeri and Betsy as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held 1pm on Wednesday, September 20th at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown. Arrangements are under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
