Shirley M. Mahieu, 82, passed away Thursday November 10, 2016 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly Township, with her family by her side. Born in Trenton, she was raised and had lived in Bordentown prior to moving to Columbus. She was an animal lover and was always happy to lend a hand. Shirley's family and close friends were very important to her and she will be deeply missed.

Predeceased by her parents, Anthony B. Myers and Elizabeth Reed, her son, Dean A. Armstrong, and her two husbands: Byron W. Armstrong and Charles Mahieu, she is survived by her beloved children, Gary B. Armstrong of Cherry Valley, NY, Jeffrey S. Armstrong of Columbus and Kristina L. Castor and her husband Ray of Columbus. Her sister, Mary Giambelluca of Levittown, PA. Five grandchildren: Byron E. and Gillian K Armstrong, Kirsten and Rebecca Kuzmicz and Christopher J. Castor, many nieces, nephews and cousins including Glenn and Neil Armstrong.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Tuesday, November 15 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Columbus Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning for 9 am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Ste 300, Marlton, NJ 08053
