Sherri Halpin, 64 of Whiting, passed away Monday, April 28, 2025 at her home. Born in Trenton, she grew up in Allentown, NJ and Beachwood before moving to Berkeley Twp., where she and her husband Vernon settled and raised their family. Sherri retired from the Berkeley Twp. School District where she was a bus driver. She enjoyed crocheting and making handmade gifts but above all she loved her family. As the matriarch of her family, she was always there to offer advice. She was also the genealogist of the family and took trips with her sister to research and locate her ancestors which she documented in family genealogy books.

Daughter of the late Shirley and William H. Stackhouse Jr., she was predeceased by her brother, William H. Stackhouse, III. Sherri is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Vernon A. Halpin; her children and their spouses, Christopher Lee and Kristin Halpin, Vernon Joseph and Donna Halpin, and Tara Ann and Michael Ruby; her grandchildren, Gwen Wallace, Jacob, Adalyn, Kaitlynn, Karleigh, and Maddison Halpin, and Clayton and Camryn Ruby; her great granddaughter, Mia; her sister and brother-in-law, Inez and Scott Alksmant and her brother and sister-in-law, Theodore and Cynthia Drott. Sherri is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 6th from 5-8pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. A funeral service will be held 11am on Wednesday, May 7th at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Allentown Methodist Cemetery.
