Shafia Chinwala, 82, passed away on August 28, 2024. She was born and raised in Mumbai, India. She went to JB Petit High School and Sydenham College for a Bachelor of Arts of Commerce. She achieved Head Girl standing, achieving first ranking in every subject and represented her school at functions and celebrations. She was an avid badminton player in college and won the esteemed Lotus, Rose and Jasmine Cups, which were all proudly displayed in their family home. She moved to the United States in 1964 and worked at Johnson and Johnson for many years as a computer programmer.

Shafia and Ony Chinwala were married 56 years and in that time, they enjoyed traveling the world and entertaining friends at their home. She was a devoted wife and mother.

She is survived by her only daughter, Shaheen Chinwala.

A visitation with the family will be held Saturday, September 7th from 12:00 - 2:30pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. Burial will be held later that day.
