Ryan R. Gaum, 78, of Cream Ridge, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. Born in
Trenton,
he was a long time Cream Ridge resident. Ryan was a retired police officer
from the Trenton Police
Department. After his retirement in 1994 from the Trenton
Police Department, he went to work for the Upper Freehold Regional School District
where he has worked for the past 28 years.
Ryan loved working on his farm in Cream Ridge and enjoyed riding the tractor and
snowmobiling. Above all, Ryan loved his family and sharing stories with his many
friends. He was a wonderful father and grandfather, and he cherished the time he spent
with his granddaughter Neva Rose.
Son of the late Ernest and Marian Gaum, he was predeceased by his daughter, Briana
Rose Gaum. Ryan is survived by his daughter, Shannon Ryan Rahsan; his beloved
granddaughter, Neva Rose Rahsan; his former wife and close friend, Sandy Gaum; his
sister, Linda Marsh; brother, Robert Gaum and his wife Cheryl; niece, Danalyn Byrne,
her husband, Tim, and their daughters, Carly Ryan and Kaci Rose; and nephew and niece,
Todd and Julie Gaum.
A viewing will be held Thursday, March 21 st from 2-7pm at the Peppler Funeral Home,
114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Briana Rose Gaum
Scholarship Fund. Donations may be left at the funeral home or sent by mail to:
