Ruthanne Sokolick, 83, of Allentown, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick surrounded by her family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Ruthanne lived in Sparta for many years before moving to Allentown in 2006. A graduate of Livingston High School, she attended Sussex County College and The Katherine Gibbs School. Ruthanne worked as a Real Estate Agent in the North Jersey area for 12 years. She was a former member of Grace Lutheran Church in Livingston and highly active in her community. Ruthanne was a former president of the Sparta Woman's Club and an active member of the Sussex County Board of Realtors. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Golden Retriever Rescue of New Jersey. Ruthanne was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family and loved taking care of them.

Daughter of the late Louis and Elsa Meyn; she is survived by her husband of 43 years, John Rutkowski; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris Sr. and Deborah Sokolick of Dallas GA; her grandchildren, Christopher Jr. and Holli Sokolick of Virginia Beach, VA, Nicholas Baiamonte of Sarasota, FL; great grandson Maddox Sokolick; her brothers and sisters-in-laws, Ronald and Arlene Meyn of Manasquan and Robert and Grace Meyn of Westfield; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other extended family and her beloved Golden Retriever Gracie.

Cremation will be private under the direction of Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
