Ruth E. Thomas (Reisenweaver), 93, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Masonic Village at Burlington. Born in Hazelton, PA, she had moved to Burlington Township in 1956 and became a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Burlington. Although she suffered many physical ailments, her mind remained sharp and her feisty spirit prevailed until the end.

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Chester E. Thomas, her son, Dr. James L. Thomas, her grandson, Chad Thomas and her six siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Johnson, her daughter-in-law, Gayle Thomas Evans, her grandchildren: David and Daniel Schneider, Laine Walters, Corey Thomas (Aarika) and Katelyn Kieu (Johnny) and her great grandchildren: Morgan and Madelyn Walters and Mara and McKenna Thomas as well as several in-laws and nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to acknowledge the loving care and devotion of the entire staff at the Masonic Village over the past years as well as the care of Acacia Hospice during her final days.

Funeral Services will be held 11 am Thursday, April 12 at the Masonic Village Chapel, 902 Jacksonville Rd, Burlington, NJ. Friends and family can visit with the family from 9:30 am until time of service at the chapel. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Acacia Hospice or the Masonic Charity Foundation, 902 Jacksonville Rd, Burlington, NJ 08016.
