Ruth M. Tantum, 92, of Crosswicks, passed away Friday, January 8th at Compassionate Care Hospice in Trenton. Born in Trenton, NJ; she had resided in Trenton and Chatsworth, NJ before moving to Crosswicks 64 years ago. She was a member of the Crosswicks United Methodist Church, where she was the organist for many years, as well as other surrounding churches.

Daughter of the late Rev. Samuel K. and Minnie Miller(nee Chatten-Stout), wife of the late O. Peter Tantum, mother of the late Joseph Tantum and sister of the late Mildred Smallwood; she is survived by three nephews, Robert A. Smallwood and his wife Geraldine of Hamilton Twp., NJ; William R. Tantum and his wife Cynthia of Chesterfield, NJ; and C. Alan Tantum and his wife Lyn of Chatsworth, NJ, and several nieces and nephews in California and Oregon. Three grand-nieces Amy L. Gerner and her husband Keith, Chryssa and her husband Chris and Cara and her husband Jose and a grand nephew Daniel J. Smallwood and several other great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Wednesday, January 13th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main Street, Allentown, NJ. Interment will follow in North Crosswicks Cemetery, Hamilton Twp. Friends may call from 10am until time of service at the funeral home.
