Obituary

Ruth (Epler) Nosal of Whiting, formerly of Princeton, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Born in 1932 in Silverdale, PA, Ruth spent her childhood growing up on a farm in Perkasie, PA. Upon leaving high school, Ruth first worked as a fine detail seamstress in hosiery factories in Perkasie and Lambertville. She then worked at a bank in Flemington, NJ processing stocks by hand long before the computer age.

During a dance class at the Moose Hall in Doylestown, PA, Ruth met "this handsome guy" who would never let her dance with anyone else. Peter, whom she married in 1950, was the love of her life. She was two months shy of her 18 th birthday and Peter was almost 10 years older. With hard work, patience and devoted love, their marriage lasted 69 and ½ years.

Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Peter; her parents, Pearl and George; her sisters, Georgia and Bonnie and her infant daughter, Susan.

Ruth devoted her life to her husband and raising their three children. She is survived by her daughters, Maureen and Melanie; her son, Michael; grandsons, Kyle, Matthew and Joshua and great granddaughters, Juliet and Kaitlyn. Also surviving are her sister, Pauline and brother-in-law Paul; many nieces, nephews and even great nieces and nephews as well as many special friends, neighbors and her two exceptional caregivers, Susan and Nancy.

The viewing and memorial service will be held on Monday, January 18 th , beginning a 2:30pm at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown, NJ. Burial will be held in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery on Tuesday at 10am.
