Ruth E. Horan, 85 of Allentown, NJ, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton, NJ. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifetime area resident before moving to Allentown, NJ in April. Ruth was a lifetime member of the Second Reformed Church of Jersey City where she was a past Deacon and church secretary and was a member of the Mother's Club and the Choir.

Ruth is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Horan; four children, Lynda Sigtermans and her husband Gerard, of Allentown, NJ, C. Richard Horan of Bridgewater, NJ, Jan Somers of Bloomsbury, NJ and Katie Pollinger of Newtown, PA; three sisters, Lois Reilly of Forked River, NJ, Audrey Graham of Greenbrook, NJ and Joan Kuss of Maywood, NJ; seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 4pm on Saturday, February 21St at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St. Allentown, NJ. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson will officiate. Friends may call Saturday from 1pm until the time of service.
