Ruth S. Bertagni, 84, of Allentown, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at her home. Born in Trenton, she was a lifetime Allentown resident.  A graduate of Allentown High School and the Princeton Hospital School of Nursing, Ruth worked as an LPN for Princeton Hospital for her entire career.  She was a lifetime member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church. She was very active with the Allentown First Aid Squad, formerly serving as its treasurer and was active with the NJ State First Aid Council.  In her free time Ruth enjoyed knitting and working in her vegetable garden.

Daughter of the late Caroline and Alvin Smith; she was predeceased in 2011 by her husband of 36 years, Sylvio Bertagni and was predeceased by two sisters, Abigail R. Smith and Carol R. Floyd. Ruth is survived by her siblings, Alice E. Stanhope, Helen Smith, Thomas Smith, and Richard E. Smith; her stepson, John Joseph Bertagni, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A visitation with the family will be held Wednesday, April 2nd from 10-11 am followed by a memorial at 11am on Wednesday, April 2nd at the Allentown Presbyterian Church, Allentown, NJ. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
