Rupert "Bob" Freiberger, 77 of Upper Freehold Twp., passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025 at his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Kingston, NY, he was a longtime Upper Freehold area resident. He graduated from Allentown High School where he was active with the FFA program and served as State President in 1967. The owner and operator of Freiberger Farms, Bob was very active with his community. He served on Upper Freehold Township Committee and was elected Mayor of Upper Freehold, serving three terms. He was also a Chairman of the Zoning Board of Adjustments, served as a member of the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture Executive Committee, was a member of the Township Planning Board and a former president of the State Grain and Forage Producers Association.

Bob had a love of farming and continued to be a great supporter of the Future Farmers of America Association. He was recognized for his service and dedication to the community by the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture in 2011 and was honored by being selected as the Grand Marshall of the annual Memorial Day Parade in 2018.

A man of strong faith, Bob was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in Allentown, where he served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 7333. Most of all, he was devoted to his family and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Son of the late Rupert and Katharina Freiberger, he was predeceased by his son, Rupert Freiberger, Jr. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Kathleen Freiberger; his two sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Shannon Freiberger and Pat and Tina Freiberger; his beloved grandchildren, Ryan, Chase, Wyatt, and Ellie; his sisters and brother-in-law, Eleanor Burns, Marjanna Keller, Elizabeth Miller, and Hildegard and David Carter; his sisters-in-law, Patricia and Jack Homa, Christine Hlubik and Melissa Mangione, and Carol and Kevin Harris. Bob is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on Friday, December 5th at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, 1282 Yardville-Allentown Rd., Allentown. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob's name to the Allentown FFA Chapter, c/o Allentown High School, 27 High St., Allentown, NJ 08501.
